  • Laptops to consider under ₹45,000

We use laptops for various tasks that range from doing web-surfing to web-developing, gaming to editing and a lot more. But how much of these tasks are handled seamlessly by the endless stream of laptops that manufacturing companies make every year. Today I will pick some of the best laptops that will help you to choose the best option among all those countless laptops some of which are not exactly good for their price. Let’s begin.

    HP 15s eq2223AU

HP provides a AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor which has 6 cores and 12 threads. Even if this processor was released back in 2021 it is still one of the top midrange processors that could challenge recent launched intel processors in its range. It is always better to have more cores and threads as they are required to handle multiple tasks. It comes preloaded with Windows 11 and considering the specs it has, in future it will support windows 12. Get the 8 GB ram one and upgrade it to 16 GB which I kind of prefer as it is costs less. It supports a 41Wh charger which juices your battery to 50% in 45 minutes. As people use charger attached to laptop while working, I think a charger which charges your battery fast will decrease the lifespan by the heat it produces during charging. So a charger which is not so fast neither too slow will be good for most people unless you travel a lot and need your laptop to be charged faster. HP also has a wide customer reach so incase you have some problem which is unlikely unless you abuse it, it will be convenient to find a service near you. For a laptop which is available for ₹42,000 in amazon, it is a bang for the buck. HP offers an Intel i3 13th gen variant which is equally good and a very slight modern looking but it costs ₹5000 more. I did not discus this separately because another i3 variant is discussed below with similar spec sheet and a bit lower price. Photo credit: HP

    Asus Vivo book 15 (2023)

When it comes to innovative ideas no one beats Asus. This laptop comes with Intel core i3 1315U which has 6 cores and 8 threads. If we compared it with HP 15 mentioned above the single core tops the Ryzen one by 25% but in multi core performance the Ryzen is better than intel. It is because intel has 2 performance cores and 4 efficient cores but in case of Ryzen all 6 are performance cores and Ryzen has additional 4 threads. So, it gives a better multicore performance overall. Unless you use multiple tasks at the same time, I would recommend Asus for those who do heavy single task like coding. This laptop’s aesthetics are better I would say than the HP 15S. It comes with a 1080P display that has 45% NTSC color gamut. It also comes preloaded with windows 11 and MS office 2021. The laptop weighs around 1.7 kgs a bit more than the HP. It wins over the department of backlit key board which does not come with HP 15S but that would cost you ₹4000 extra than the HP 15S. This Laptop costs around ₹45,000 and it is simply good for the specs it is offering for the money. Phto credit: ASUS

But to be honest what I would truly like for you to consider is a laptop having core i3 12th gen which gives you better single core performance than Ryzen 5500U and is one par with i3 13th gen. i3 13th gen is only 2% better than 12th gen one and the 12th gen laptops you can get for around ₹41,000, you can save around ₹5000 to ₹6000 which you can use to get a higher ram card. Consider laptops like HP 15s fq5007TU or Dell Inspiron 3520 (I won’t personally recommend Dell laptops as it has pretty bad impression in my mind regarding the quality of body that it gives but it has the best customer support) or Lenovo IdeaPad slim 3 (Lenovo offers one of the best keyboards that elevates your typing experience but I don’t like the displays that come with the low-end variants. They are awful) Just consider these among your choices if you are looking for one that save you money while giving you good performance.
